The window was broken during the storm 与 When we arrived, the window was already broken.

The editor revised the introduction.

The introduction was revised by the editor.

  • the editor 可放在 by 短语中。

The introduction was too long. It was revised before publication.

The form was submitted yesterday.

The student submitted the form yesterday.

→ The form was submitted yesterday.

一般现在am/is/are + doneThe data is checked daily.
一般过去was/were + doneThe data was checked yesterday.
现在进行am/is/are being + doneThe data is being checked.
过去进行was/were being + doneThe data was being checked.
现在完成has/have been + doneThe data has been checked.
过去完成had been + doneThe data had been checked.
一般将来will be + doneThe data will be checked.
情态modal + be + doneThe data must be checked.
情态完成modal + have been + doneThe data may have been checked.

The form was not submitted.
Was the form submitted?
Has the form been submitted?
The form must not be changed.

Did the form be submitted?

正确:Was the form submitted?

The assistant printed the documents.

→ The documents were printed.

The guests arrived.

不能说 The guests were arrived 来表达同一事件。

The meeting ended at five.
The chair ended the meeting at five.
The meeting was ended at five by the chair.

have, resemble, fit, lack

  • Maya has a laptop.
A laptop is had by Maya.

The window was opened by the caretaker with a key.

  • by the caretaker:谁执行动作。
  • with a key:使用什么工具。

My bicycle was stolen.
The road was repaired last month.
The suspect was arrested.
The proposal was reviewed and approved.

The final design was created by a student, not by the agency.

The school sent the students a reminder.

The students were sent a reminder.

A reminder was sent to the students.

The committee elected Maya chair.

被动:

Maya was elected chair.

The feedback made the instructions clearer.

→ The instructions were made clearer by the feedback.

The coach made the players practise again.

The players were made to practise again.

  • Someone saw Maya enter the room.
  • Maya was seen to enter the room.

  • Someone saw Maya entering the room.
  • Maya was seen entering the room.

let 通常不按同一规则写 was let to do。

They were allowed to leave.

  • They looked after the children.
  • The children were looked after.
  • The team dealt with the problem.
  • The problem was dealt with.
  • Everyone referred to the new policy.
  • The new policy was referred to.

after/with/to 属于整个动词组合,变被动时不能删除。

This bed has been slept in.

The door was closed.

The door was closed by the guard.
The door was being closed.

  • The window got broken during the move.
  • She got promoted last month.

The applications are reviewed weekly.

People believe that the method is reliable.

  • It is believed that the method is reliable.
  • The method is believed to be reliable.

常见动词:believe, report, expect, consider, know, say。

Several files were deleted overnight.

The samples were stored at 4°C.

The proposal was submitted on Monday. It was reviewed the next day and approved on Friday.

English is spoken in many countries.

Mistakes were made.

The project team made several calculation errors.

The original schedule was changed after several safety concerns had been raised by staff.

分层:

  3. after 从句被动:concerns had been raised。

The form was checked, and a decision was made, and an email was sent.

The admissions team checked the form, made a decision and sent an email.

The assistant updated the file yesterday.
The guests arrived at noon.
  3. 填空:The results ___ currently ___ (review).
  4. 填空:The form may ___ ___ (submit) online.
The school gave every student a handbook.
The committee elected Lina president.
The coach made us repeat the exercise.
  8. 改错:The children were looked after by their neighbour.(若无错误说明原因)
  9. 区分:The window was broken. / The window was being broken.
  10. 选择 by/with:The package was opened ___ a knife ___ the inspector.
Mistakes were made in the final calculation.
  1. The file was updated by the assistant yesterday.
  3. are currently being reviewed。
  4. be submitted。
  5. Every student was given a handbook. / A handbook was given to every student.
  6. Lina was elected president.
  7. We were made to repeat the exercise.
  10. with a knife by the inspector。
  12. The report is believed to have been submitted on Monday. It is believed that the report was submitted on Monday.
